Installment 4 - The Maltese Falcon

Since we could not find a stout Englishman in the house, today the role of Sydney Greenstreet as The Fat Man will be played by Cody Mallia, my stout Beagle whose nick name is Fat Boy.

As the scene opens, Fat Boy as Sydney Greenstreet as The Fat Man has just rung up Brigid O’Schaunessey.  He claims to have the statue of the Falcon in his possession and for a mere liver flavored treat will turn it over to Miss O’Schaunessey.  This news excites Brigid she arranges to meet Fat Boy as Sydney Greenstreet as The Fat Man at a clandestine location, however; Fat Boy as Sydney Greenstreet as The Fat Man does not know what clandestine means (he is a dog, Hello Brigid) and just sits on the bed with a blank look on his face.

To which a voice from afar can be heard saying: “Will you get the dog out of the bed I am tired and want to go to sleep”

To which Brigid and Fat Boy as Sydney Greenstreet, as The Fat Man reply: Shut up, give me my liver treat (that is Fat Boy's line by the way), and sleep on the couch we are making art here!

Stay tuned for the last chapter of “The Maltese Falcon.

Installment 3 - The Maltese Falcon

Today’s installment of the Maltese Falcon finds Paula Mallia, as Mary Astor as the now Brigid O’Shaughnessy contemplating what truth she should tell Mr. Spade.

Should she reveal her shoe size (oh no not that), her age (oh no definitely not that), her weight (heck no!), should she tell him (oh gasp) she was the one that ate the last slice of Key Lime Pie in the fridge!!!!!

To which an angry and whiny voice is heard “I knew you ate it, I knew it wasn’t one of the dogs!”

To which Paula Mallia as Mary Astor as Brigid O’Schaunessey replies “Oh get over it; go to bed!”

Installment 2 - The Maltese Falcon

Today’s installment finds John Sweet as Humphrey Bogart as Sam Spade. Sweet as Bogart as Spade has just found out the truth about Miss Ruth Wunderly, aka Leblanc, aka Brigid O’Shaughnessy.

Miss Ruth Wunderly, aka Leblanc, aka Brigid O’Shaughnessy asks John Sweet, as Humphrey Bogart as Sam Spade to meet her at a clandestine location to tell him the whole truth, however;
it is so dark he loses his way and refuses to ask for directions. As he searches he spies a light at the far end of the street. He stops to light a cigarette in hopes of looking cool when Miss Wunderly, aka Leblanc, aka O’Shaughnessy arrives. As he reaches for his matches he realizes that Paula Mallia told him he could not smoke in the house anymore and took then all away, so in order not to look lame he pretends he is smoking his cigarette, figures since it is so dark no one can tell.

A mysterious voice is heard from afar saying, that looks very lame John Sweet as Humphrey Bogart as Sam Spade, do you think you can take out the garbage while you are out there?
To which he replies, shut up and go to bed!

Day 37/365 - 2010

Day 37/365 - Thought I would try my hand at a portrait. Could not decide if I liked the black and white or the color version. Not the best have lots of work to do on my portrait skills any suggestions anyone??

This is our friend Tim who is moving to Utah this week. The shelter will miss him so much and so will we. Tim is one of those good good souls, he has saved over 30 dogs that would probably have been euthanized had he not pulled them out and fostered them. Lucky dogs are those at the next shelter he will volunteer for. Bye Tim :(
